Summer camp from August 18th to 27th in Cavaillon for us Cesar-Stock boys and girls, part of the Vocational Youth Ministry Movement of the Doctrinaires; we spent some important days together, called by the Lord to better understand the importance and correct way to make choices, in our lives and in His name.
As always, Saint Caesar, from whom we take our name as a Movement, accompanied us; indeed, this time we were able to see and experience the places of his birth, maturation, vocation, and consecration to God as the first Doctrinary.
These have been challenging days, and much work was required to get here, but it was worth it. So the time has come to give thanks to You, O Lord, resuming what we wrote in Your presence, one of the nights in Cavaillon.
Twenty-four times thank you
For the clear signs you’ve shown me in this field; for this field, for surrounding me with people who love me every day, unconditionally; for all the moments, both good and bad, during which you’ve always watched over us from afar, helping us live everything to the fullest; for everyone who’s made me smile; thank you for all the smiles, the tears, the laughter, the hugs; for allowing me to reconnect with everyone who’s been close to me these past few days; thank you for the family I have around me; for allowing me to spend days free from worries, in service of you and others; for helping me be myself and not lose the only place where I can feel good; for finally allowing me to glimpse serenity and peace; for preparing my heart to listen; for helping me hear you, surrounding me with people who love me and don’t make me feel alone.
Because you are always there for me, no matter the occasion; for listening to me even when I wasn’t able to speak and seek your presence; thank you for offering me the opportunity to find you again after a difficult time; because now I can hope to always find your active presence in my life; because in these days my heart has filled with a warmth I’ve longed for; for making me feel close to you; because I’ve understood that I’m never truly alone and that I must seek better and have greater trust in both people and God.
Because you make my heart burn with the words you speak to me through those around me; for the challenge you have set before me; for your guidance on the path you propose, for helping me understand myself, to make the right choices, avoiding hasty or poorly thought-out ones; for making me understand what it means to live and discern with an open heart; thank you for the opportunity to welcome you into my life, to recognize you, to feel called by name, and to respond, “Here I am.”.
The promise and the hope
And now, Lord, continue to guide us on this journey of discovery of You and discernment of our lives, so that we may find our vocation in You, just as You once did with our Saint Caesar.
