The second national training session for the Doctrinarial Family Movement (MFD) took place on Sunday, February 22. The communities of Vittoria (Rg), Salerno, Rome, Turin, and Vigevano (Pv) met in their respective parishes on Sunday afternoon for a two-hour online meeting. Sister Chiara Francesca Raggi, abbess of the Poor Clare Monastery of San Severino Marche (Mc), served as guest speaker.
“The ongoing, communal reading of the book of Qoheleth and the life of Saint Cesar de Bus, and the engagement with the lives of each member, are at the heart of the Movement’s journey this pastoral year,” explains Dario Piccione, president of the Movement. “This journey has led us to reflect on the quality of the time we want to live. Sister Chiara Francesca offered us a side note, inviting us to reflect on the ‘time to overcome,’ the ability to see difficult moments and crises—individual, couple, and faith—as an unexpected opportunity for a new beginning.”
At the end of the two hours, each community continued its work independently, awaiting the next meeting in May and, above all, the National Camp, which this year will be held from August 18th to 23rd, in parallel with the Cesar-stock boys and girls (the Doctrinaire youth movement) camp in Cavaillon. The camp, in the footsteps of Saint Cesar, will focus on “letting ourselves be transformed by the Holy Spirit,” which has become the slogan of the summer event.
