Father Martin Xalxo was ordained a priest on April 25, 2026, in Samtoli, at the Cathedral of Saint Anne in the Diocese of Simdega, by Bishop Vincent Barwa. Here is his testimony.
The ordination ceremony was celebrated in a spirit of prayer and celebration, and was attended by a large number of priests, nuns, and lay faithful. Present at the celebration were the Superior General of the Congregation of the Doctrinariesl Fathers, Father Sergio La Pegna; the Vicar General, Father Luis Gonzaga; Father Luis Alves do Carmo; Father Paolo De Leo; Father Binay Guria; Father Gregory Jojo; Father Binod Guria; Father Lalit Barla; and Brother Kamal Lakra; as well as Mr. Parada, Mrs. Lenda, and Mrs. Aneta, along with many other people.
The liturgy saw the active participation of the faithful, and a harmonious choir enhanced the solemnity and joy of the celebration. It was truly a grace-filled and memorable day for all present, and especially for me, who was able to experience the love of God and of Saint Cesar de Bus.
The following day, I celebrated my first Mass in my hometown, Samtoli, along with numerous priests, nuns, and faithful. At the end of the celebration, great joy and happiness filled us all, especially me and my family.
During the Mass, the spirit of faith, devotion, and joy was evident. I experienced a wonderful opportunity to recall the Word of God: “By the grace of God I am what I am” (1 Cor 15:10).
This ordination stands as a testimony to God’s continuing calling and blessing upon me and the Congregation of the Doctrinaries. A newly ordained priest who inspires the faithful to a deeper commitment and service to them.
