Pilgrimage with the Congregation of the Doctrinaries Fathers to the land of the founder, Saint Cesar de Bus, from April 13 to 17.
The outline program includes a meeting in the early afternoon of Monday, April 13, at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. This will be followed by a visit to the doctrinal community of Bouffémont, Saint-Prix, in the suburbs of Paris, and an overnight stay at the Hotel Massabielle.
Tuesday, April 14, a day in Paris, visiting the memorial sites of the Doctrinaries Martyrs of the French Revolution (Saint-Sulpice Church and Saint-Joseph Church), with a Eucharistic celebration. After lunch, a visit to the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, completely restored after the devastating fire of 2019, and to the Conciergerie, which housed the Revolutionary Tribunal.
Wednesday, April 15th, TGV transfer to Avignon with a tour of the city: the Cathedral of Notre Dame des Doms, the Basilique Saint-Pierre, and the Palais des Papes. Departure for Cavaillon at 2:30 pm after lunch. At 5 pm, visit to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame et Saint-Véran in Cavaillon and Mass on the feast of Saint Cæsar.
Dinner with the parish communities of Cavaillon-Cheval Blanc-les Vigneres, Robion, and Les Taillades. Overnight at the Hotel Toppin.
Thursday, April 16, morning visit to L’Iles sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse and lunch, in the afternoon climb to the hermitage of Saint Jacques – where César De Bus, founder of the Doctrinaries Fathers, retreated after his priestly ordination in 1582 to deepen his study of the “catechism for parish priests” – with prayer of the Rosary and Eucharistic celebration.
