The Congregation of Doctrinaries in Burundi has welcomed new apostle catechists: they are the professed Amos Ciza, Jean de Dieu Kwizera, Aimé Irambona and Mélance Nkunzimana.
The Lectors were instituted last February 8th during the Mass presided over by the Archbishop of Gitega, Bonaventure Nahimana, on the World Day of Consecrated Life, in the Cathedral of Christ the King in Mushasha.
Together with the four Doctrinaries, Montfort religious received the ministry of Lector and Acolyte and a Carmelite deacon was ordained a priest.
After the Mass, all the consecrated persons present at the ceremony gathered in the hall of the Sisters of Saint Bernadette to share a fraternally celebratory toast on the World Day of Consecrated Life.
The images show moments from the celebration last February 8th, presided over by Archbishop Bonaventure Nahimana of Gitega, in the Cathedral of Christ the King in Mushasha. During the celebration, four Doctrinaries received the ministry of Lector. They were also joined by Montfort friars and a Carmelite deacon who was ordained a priest.
